Outreach programme
Through the outreach program the program is able to reach and help more needy girls in the community that have not yet joined our program.
We are ensuring that they do not lose out on an education by providing them with the knowledge and tools to properly manage their menstrual hygiene. They are able to focus in class, feel comfortable, and confident participating in physical exercise and attending classes.
Every month, 850,000 Kenyan girls miss 5 to 6 days of school due to a scarcity of sanitary pads. This implies that if a girl misses school five days a month because to a recurrent menstruation, she will miss 60 learning days, or 15 weeks of school per year.
GEP aims to provide annual packs of sanitary towels to young girls from low-income families to help them stay in school and perform better.
The outreach program includes:
- Medical camps in the villages
Dignity packs giving to schools
Opportunity for home visits for some of those participating in the general workshops

Kirkuria Primary School
Kirkuria Primary School is a Kajiado school in Isinya, Kiserian. There are 370 pupils in total. On this day, we met around 200 children from grades 4 through 8. We gave them both boys and girls dignity packs. We also held educational workshops for both boys and girls, where we provided them with the knowledge and tools they needed to properly manage their menstrual hygiene while ensuring that they did not lose out on an education. This is to ensure that kids are able to focus in class, feel at ease, and confident when participating in physical activities and attending classes.
